How You May Feel

  • You appear to have it together, yet on the inside, you often struggle with feeling not good enough

  • Not many people know the real you because you tend to get stuck in your head and not be in the present moment

  • You often struggle to deeply connect

  • Social anxiety, trauma, and low self-esteem make it difficult to be fully yourself around others

  • It sometimes feels like you’re playing a mental chess game with others

  • You often avoid, never fully trust situations or feel safe to relax and go with the flow

  • You often dwell in the past or excessively worry about the future

  • You may often feel out of control, helpless, and betrayed by your own nervous system

How it Can Be

  • You learn how to identify stuck parts and find new ways to process and heal trauma

  • You deconstruct the cultural, religious, and toxic programming many of us receive growing up

  • You learn to become more confident and comfortable being yourself around others

  • You start seeing yourself the way that others truly see you

As a gay therapist, there is an instant foundation of understanding and lived experience that’s missing when working with non-LGBTQ+ clinicians. I strive to create a space that is warm, affirming & nonjudgmental.

How We Do the Work

My treatment approach is trauma-informed and rooted in Person-Centered therapy, which focuses on creating a therapeutic environment in which you feel safe to be your authentic self, a critical ingredient to the success of our work together.

You’re in the driver’s seat and I’m in the passenger seat with a roadmap of your life in hand—my job is to point out patterns I see and help you make connections in ways you haven’t seen before.

We develop a therapeutic relationship where we work through your issues together as a team.

I implement what works for each individual person, using approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gottman Method for couples, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I want my clients to experience my therapeutic style as relatable, practical, and down-to-earth.

  • Convenient: therapy can be done from your home, office, or other private location

  • Comfort: allows you to create a comfortable space that works for you

  • Time: no commute, traffic, or gas costs

  • Effectiveness: research shows that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person

  • Flexibility: more appointment times available that work with your schedule

  • Greater Reach: I get to work with anyone in Kentucky!

There’s never been a better time to prioritize your mental health and work towards healing. Please contact me today and let’s get to work together!
